Bill and Nick Houghton hosted a small gathering at their interesting building opposite St Lawrence's Church in Longridge where I unveiled the new date staone that had been refurbished to commemorate Houghtons hundred years of funeral directors.
Some of the Longridge Partnership Heritage Committee joined the party and we risked becoming new clients of the hosrs when the Longridge News phototgrapher asked us to stand in the middle of Lower Lane for a pic!
This pic was taken from the safety of the pavement on the other side of the road which is why you can't see very much and illustrates why newspapers prefer their own photographer to be there!!
