Another belting night with the Band and Katie Ellis who led the singing in Land of Hope and Glory.Bit of a sad moment too. Steve Tarry has been with the band a couple of years as conductor and had genuine ambitions to be in it for the long haul but an offer he couldn't refuse to work in Kuwait came up and he's off.
The band presented him with a pic of them all in various "tour" poses and I was proud to present to him a Town Council crest as a recognition from the people of Longridge for his time in front of one of our finest assets.
Well done all on another great year and thanks for the concert - Highland Cathedral got another airing and Twissy's solo was superb!!!
